Rachel Kitzinger: Dean of Planning and Academic Affairs
Rachel Kitzinger has been at the college since 1982. She is the Matthew Vassar Jr. Professor of Greek and Latin Language and Literature. In addition she served in several administrative positions before becoming Dean of Planning and Academic Affairs: Advisor to the Junior Class, Director of Freshman Courses, Director of Teaching Development, Director of Academic Facilities Development, and Acting Associate Dean of the Faculty.
Tom Porcello: Associate Dean of Planning and Academic Affairs
Tom Porcello is an anthropologist specializing in linguistics and auditory and expressive culture. Since arriving at Vassar in 1998, he has served on numerous college committees, as well as having been Director of the Media Studies and Independent Programs.
Benjamin Lotto: Director of Academic Facilities Development
Benjamin Lotto is a Professor of Mathematics at Vassar. Since joining Vassar in 1993, he has served on numerous college committees and is currently the chair of the Mathematics Department. He has served as Director of Academic Facilities Development and chair of the Classroom Committee since 2007.
Dana Kleinhans: Assistant to the Dean
Dana Kleinhans has been at the college since 1998. She previously held the position of Associate Controller under the department of accounting services.
Allison O'Brien: Executive Assistant
A member of the Vassar staff since 1979, Allison’s prior experience at the college includes work in CIS as well as a brief time in Buildings and Grounds Services. She most recently worked in the Business Manager’s office on the Faculty Housing Leasehold program, International Student Loans, and the college’s insurance program.
